Job summary

Workiva seeks a Lead Data Product Manager to own data products driving finance and people operations decisions. You will partner with Finance and People & Culture leaders, work with Analytics and Data Engineering, and own requirements, quality, and adoption beyond delivery.

This greenfield role requires shaping semantic contracts, scalable data assets, and AI-enabled workflows while collaborating across engineering and business teams. Remote-friendly in the US.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product management, with 3+ years focused on data products, analytics platforms, or data infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience building data products in a Finance, HR, Legal, operations, or similar business domain
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Define and own the data product roadmap across multiple initiatives
• Design data products that support BI tools, AI-enabled experiences, and business applications
• Translate business objectives into clear requirements, challenging assumptions early
• Lead cross-functional alignment across stakeholders, Analytics, and Data Engineering
• Own full product lifecycle from discovery through Alpha, Beta, and GA releases
• Define and maintain semantic contracts, including field definitions and data grain
• Identify reusable data assets and scalable models for multiple use cases
• Drive adoption with measurable impact and measure success metrics
• Collaborate with Engineering on semantic layer design and dbt transformations
