Job summary

Tykhe Inc. seeks a highly autonomous Senior IC to architect, build, and operate the foundational data infrastructure powering its operating intelligence platform.

You will ship production-grade data products, own end-to-end data pipelines, and translate complex business problems into scalable technical solutions. Strong Python/SQL and cloud-native experience are essential.

Qualifications

As a lean, early-stage company, our client is looking for a highly autonomous technical leader who can build foundational data infrastructure from the ground up and directly influence the company's operating intelligence platform.

This is a highly hands-on Senior Individual Contributor (IC) role reporting directly to the CEO.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the foundational data infrastructure that powers client's core data and Operating Intelligence platform. The ideal candidate can work independently, make architectural decisions, translate ambiguous business problems into scalable technical solutions, and ship production-quality code without waiting for detailed requirements.

This role is particularly suited to someone who has built production data platforms in environments involving messy integrations, complex source systems, data quality challenges, and business-critical data.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience building and operating production data platforms; approximately 10+ years is ideal.
• Strong experience owning data infrastructure end-to-end in production environments.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining data pipelines, data models, APIs, and platform infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of modern data engineering technologies such as dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience integrating multiple external, legacy, or poorly standardized data sources.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, testing, observability, reliability, and auditability.
• Experience designing REST APIs and shared platform services.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including Git, CI/CD, deployment practices, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate as a senior strategic IC with minimal direction.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong product and business judgment with the ability to translate operational problems into technical solutions.

• Experience building platforms used by distributed or Forward Deployed Engineering teams.
• Experience working at an early-stage startup or on a small, highly autonomous engineering team.
• Experience building data platforms from the ground up rather than only maintaining existing infrastructure.
• Experience with identity resolution, canonical data models, metric layers, and data product architecture.
