Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Irving, TX or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). The role focuses on designing and delivering cloud-native data platform solutions on Google Cloud Platform with guidance across Product Management, Architecture, and Platform Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education.
• 5+ years leading large-scale software development projects and engineering teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise applications and platform capabilities from requirements through production deployment and operational support.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions in public cloud environments (GCP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, architecture, development, testing, and deployment of data platform products in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Drive end-to-end delivery of complex software initiatives ensuring scalable, secure, resilient solutions.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Platform Engineering, and Security teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Define technical roadmaps, standards, and best practices for data platform capabilities.
• Lead design reviews and provide governance for high-quality, maintainable solutions.
• Design and implement data ingestion, processing, movement, and analytics for enterprise workloads.
• Resolve complex technical challenges across cloud infrastructure and data processing.
