This role requires 9+ years in data engineering, strong ETL, Kafka, NiFi, and AWS experience, Java proficiency, and a active TS/SCI + CI poly clearance. Hybrid work with 1-2 days onsite in Columbia, MD; US Citizenship required.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in data engineering or related fields and a Bachelor's in a related field.
• Strong experience designing and building ETL pipelines and data ingestion frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, NiFi, and AWS (S3, SQS).
• Proficiency in Java with unit and integration testing.
• Secret clearance and DoD 8570 IAT II certification (or higher).
• Coding challenge may be required during interviews.

The Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Technical Lead to support mission-critical cyber and network operations within the Department of War and Intelligence Community. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines that transform complex, high-volume data into actionable intelligence supporting national security efforts.

Salary for this role is between $133,000 – $238,000, depending on experience, clearance level, location, and contract requirements.
