Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a Principal Data Engineer (Service) to design, build, and scale data platforms that combine service delivery, finance, and workforce data. The role is hands-on and will partner with the Service Excellence team and analytics functions to enable revenue growth and operational excellence.

You will lead data engineering efforts, develop end-to-end pipelines, and ensure data quality across enterprise systems like Salesforce, ServiceMax, SAP ERP, RingCentral, and Genesys,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with a focus on data engineering
• Proven experience building and operating end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines in modern data environments
• Experience integrating data from enterprise systems including Salesforce, ServiceMax, SAP ERP or similar
• Strong service business domain knowledge including service delivery operations and workforce optimization
• Solid understanding of source control and production support; mentoring peers and contributing to best practices
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical partners; curiosity and learning mindset

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data platforms that integrate service delivery, financial, operational, and workforce data for strategic decision-making
• Develop and maintain data pipelines ingesting data from enterprise systems (Salesforce, ServiceMax, SAP ERP, RingCentral, Genesys) with quality checks
• Contribute to data platform design for analytics, capacity optimization, and operational monitoring; focus on performance and reliability
• Implement data quality checks, validation logic, and dashboards to ensure data health across service domains
