Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive our data and analytics platforms, partnering with Product teams to deliver data-driven insights. You will design, build, and operate production-grade data solutions, emphasizing quality, security, and scalable architectures.

You will lead Python development, containerization on AWS, and integration with Snowflake and dbt, while collaborating with data science for AI/LLM workloads and RAG capabilities.

Qualifications

• Advanced data warehousing concepts, cloud data lakes, and multi-layer designs (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Data cleaning, complex operational pipelines, and robust standardization strategies.
• Rigorous code reviews, end-to-end testing/QA methodologies, and resilient error-handling frameworks.
• Enterprise-level RBAC, data compliance, and secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Formulate production-grade data engineering solutions for Lennar’s data and analytics platforms and products.
• Architect and implement reliable ETL, ELT, and streaming data ingestion/delivery processes across multiple enterprise sources.
• Develop, maintain, and containerize modular data applications and utility scripts using Python, leveraging modern cloud infrastructure.
• Improve data ingestion architecture with emphasis on data quality, cost-performance, and maintainability across storage and compute layers.
• Define and implement engineering standards for the data team (modularization, version control, automated testing, CI/CD).
• Instrument data analytics platforms with metrics, alerts, and automated monitoring to ensure high availability and data trustworthiness.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code generation and optimize heavy queries.
• Collaborate with data science teams to design data layers for Generative AI, RAG, and LLM frameworks.
• Wrangle and integrate data from disparate production systems for end-to-end data products.
• Align technical data development with core business objectives.
