Capital One is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join the Enterprise Platforms Technology group. You will work in the Marketing and Messaging team to deliver hyper-personalized messages through scalable, cloud-based data platforms.

The role emphasizes full-stack development with Java/Scala/Python, big data technologies, and cloud services (Redshift, Snowflake). Collaboration with product managers and cross-functional teams is central to delivering impactful customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 4+ years of application development experience.
• 2+ years in big data technologies.
• 1+ year of cloud computing experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across full-stack tools and technologies.
• Work with developers experienced in ML, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
• Utilize Java, Scala, Python and RDBMS/NoSQL databases; leverage cloud data warehousing like Redshift or Snowflake.
• Mentor team members and stay current with tech trends; participate in tech communities.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for millions of customers.
• Perform unit tests and code reviews to ensure high quality and performance.
