Capital One is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in New York, NY to design and implement cloud-based data solutions with full-stack tools. You will work with ML and microservices, coding in Java/Scala/Python, and leverage Redshift or Snowflake for data warehousing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of application development experience with emphasis on data solutions.
• 2+ years using big data technologies and 1+ year with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support cloud-based data solutions.
• Lead development with teams experienced in ML, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
• Implement and optimize code using Java, Scala, Python and various RDBMS/NoSQL databases.
• Mentor engineers, perform unit tests, and ensure performance tuning of solutions.
