What You Need to Know About the Job

The Enterprise Data & Analytics Team is building a full‑stack Data Engineering team to support mission‑transforming work. We are hiring a Lead Data Engineer for a highly dynamic product team, responsible for modernizing and transforming data and reporting capabilities across multiple verticals by building scalable data pipelines, designing data warehouses, and ensuring high data quality and automation. The role is 100% virtual with occasional in‑person meetings, prefers an East Coast schedule for offshore coordination, and requires a rotational weekend support schedule once every 8 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that drive business‑intelligence tools.
  • Build scalable solutions aligned with data governance standards and architectural roadmap for integrations, storage, reporting, and analytics.
  • Design, develop, and test data integration solutions, including writing, automating, and documenting tests.
  • Manage automated deployments using Git pipelines to ensure version control and efficient deployment.
  • Streamline deployment workflows, monitor, and troubleshoot pipelines for reliability and performance.
  • Perform data analysis for troubleshooting, build a data‑quality framework, and resolve data issues.
  • Act as a tech lead by mentoring team members through code reviews, pair programming, and hands‑on interactions.
What You Need to Succeed (Required/Minimum Qualifications)
  • Education: 4‑year college degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field.
    • Experience with database technologies and data‑warehouse schema design (snowflake and star).
    • Cloud‑based databases, especially AWS (Redshift, RDS, S3, EC2, EKS).
    • Advanced SQL skills for large, complex datasets.
    • Proficiency in object‑oriented programming; coding experience in Python is required.
    • Preferred: DBT, ETL/ELT job creation, Agile methodology, DevOps tools (Git, Artifactory), integration via APIs.
    • Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and process orientation.
Pay Information

Annual salary range: $140,000 – $150,000. No annual bonus for this role.
