Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Lead Data Center Technician/Foreman to supervise field technicians and coordinate daily installation activities for structured cabling, fiber optic, and data center infrastructure projects. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion.

The role requires 5+ years in data center infrastructure, leadership experience, and certifications (BICSI, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of data center infrastructure experience.
  • Previous leadership or foreman experience.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling and fiber systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • BICSI Technician Certification.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certified.
  • Experience leading hyperscale data center projects.
  • Experience with Project Coordination, scheduling, and problem-solving.
  • Experience with Fiber and Structured Cabling.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance, Customer Relations, and Safety Management.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve technical issues in the field.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Data Center Technician/Foreman, you are responsible for supervising field technicians while coordinating daily installation activities for structured cabling, fiber optic, and infrastructure projects within hyperscale data centers. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards.

In addition, you will:

  • Supervise installation crews on multiple work areas
  • Assign daily work activities and monitor productivity
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and customer representatives
  • Review construction drawings and project schedules
  • Ensure compliance with BICSI, ANSI/TIA, NEC, and customer standards
