Job summary

RedCloud Consulting, Inc. seeks a Security Project Engineer to support immediate client operations as the dedicated owner’s representative for the physical security scope across data center construction projects.

Location extends to Chattanooga, TN and Bridgeport, AL Metro Area, with 3–4 projects per engineer within a 60‑minute drive. The role requires coordinating with GCs, SIs, and internal teams while guiding on-site security design and QA/QC activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in physical security systems, construction engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related infrastructure.
• QA/QC experience in physical security space preferred.
• Data centers or other highly regulated environments preferred.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional construction teams.
• Ability to interpret A/E drawings and technical design standards.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and issue management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel within assigned metro areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan the security construction program with early engagement to enable smooth execution.
• Review A/E drawings, design standards, and related documents; provide expert guidance to GCs and SIs.
• Lead security kickoff meetings with all project stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for all physical security matters.
• Guide GCs and SIs to execute work in alignment with approved security designs.
• Coordinate between security integrators and other trades to resolve conflicts and maintain logical work sequencing.
• Participate in onsite project meetings to track progress, address blockers, and report status to construction teams.
• Drive Levels 2–4 of the security commissioning process with internal teams and SIs.
• Own and manage the security punch list to ensure deficiencies are corrected prior to system acceptance.
• Oversee the SORT closeout process for complete documentation and handover to SecOps.
