Job summary

The ESFM team at Compass Group USA located in Salt Lake City is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer - 2nd Shift to lead on-site engineering and deliver Integrated Facilities Management, including hard services and critical infrastructure for high-density compute environments.

Responsibilities include directing a team of engineers and technicians, managing liquid cooling systems, ensuring 24/7 reliable operations, and driving uptime, safety and efficiency while meeting site KPIs and client

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in facility engineering or mission-critical environments.
• EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Experience with data centers or high-reliability environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and liquid cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of IFM hard services delivery across systems.
• Direct and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Oversee liquid cooling systems including CDUs, pumps, and controls.
• Ensure 24/7 operation through preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Manage vendor relationships and client interfaces.
