Job summary

Glint Tech Solutions in Chicago is seeking a Lead Data Architect to drive the design of scalable data platforms for enterprise retail workloads across omnichannel data sources.

You will lead cross-functional teams, define architectural standards, and partner with analytics, engineering, and product to deliver cloud-native solutions on Azure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience and 1+ year in Lead/Architect role.
• 3+ years hands-on Azure Data Factory & Synapse experience.
• Expertise in data modeling: conceptual, logical and physical.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics, Databricks and PySpark.
• Proficient in ETL/ELT pipeline development and multi-source data integration.
• Knowledge of data warehousing patterns: star schema, Data Mesh, Lakehouse, Data Vault.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying, transformation and performance tuning.
• Experience with metadata and governance integration.
• Proficient in Python; familiarity with Python ETL tools.
• Shell scripting (Bash/Unix/Windows) preferred.

Modernization and development of an eCommerce platform for a leading enterprise retail client serving millions of omnichannel customers weekly. Work spans Customer, Loyalty, Search & Browse, Data Integration, and Cart domains, with current focus on brand onboarding, re-architecture, database migrations, and cloud-native consolidation.

Key Responsibilities
