Job summary

AT&T in Plano, TX seeks a Lead Data/AI Engineer to architect, design, develop, test and deploy scalable Data & AI and Gen AI solutions, including Gen AI Agents on MCP Servers and AskDocs/AskData chat systems. You will translate complex use cases into data models, pipelines, and secure microservices.

You will collaborate with clients and leadership, oversee rigorous testing and deployment, and ensure security, compliance, and performance using Python, React, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in AI/Data engineering with Python and React.
• Experience with LLM-based services and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud platforms Azure, AWS, and GCP.

JOB LOCATION: 2900 W. Plano Parkway Plano, TX 75075

DUTIES: Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Data & AI and Gen AI solutions, including Gen AI Agents on MCP Servers and AskDocs/AskData chat systems, using best practices like automation, version control, and CI/CD. Translate complex Data, AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) use cases into effective data models, pipelines, and LLM service architectures, ensuring data quality and service reliability. Develop and maintain secure, scalable microservices, APIs, and LLM-based services, adhering strictly to security best practices and ensuring readiness to pass Red Team testing. Evaluate and implement cloud and on-premise technologies to optimize platform scalability, performance, cost, monitoring, and security posture.

Collaborate with clients, senior leadership, and diverse teams through excellent communication to convert data and AI capabilities into actionable business insights. Lead rigorous testing strategies and oversee deployment processes, addressing configuration, environment, security issues, and ensuring compliance with organizational security requirements. Utilize Python, React, and Large Language Models (LLM) for building advanced AI applications and services. Utilize architectural and design skills specifically for LLM services and generative AI solutions, with a focus on security and Compliance. Use Data and AI technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP. Observe API and microservice development patterns, including HTTP/REST/FASTAPI, with an emphasis on secure coding practices.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Python, React, and Large Language Models (LLM) for building advanced AI applications and services; utilizing architectural and design skills specifically for LLM services and generative AI solutions, with a focus on security and Compliance; using Data and AI technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP; and observing API and microservice development patterns, including HTTP/REST/FastAPI, with an emphasis on secure coding practices.
