As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity Technology & Controls, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high‑quality cybersecurity solutions for various payment needs. You will be a core technical contributor, responsible for payment rails and networks across high‑value, low‑value, and real‑time payments, and will drive significant business impact through your technical expertise and problem‑solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.

Job Responsibilities

• Engage technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future cybersecurity needs.
• Guide the evaluation of current cybersecurity principals, processes, and controls, and lead the evaluation of new technology using existing standards and frameworks.
• Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop cybersecurity risk analysis capabilities leveraging modern development practices to improve visualization and communication of risk to stakeholders.
• Partner with technology and business teams to effectively model threats and mitigate risk across your coverage area.
• Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Govern coverage area using qualitative and quantitative risk measurements.
• Influence peers and project decision‑makers to consider the use and application of leading‑edge technologies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in complex environments.
• Hands‑on experience developing risk visualization capabilities.
• Hands‑on practical experience delivering enterprise‑level cybersecurity solutions and controls.
• Strong advisory skills with proven experience ensuring organizations implement secure solutions throughout their lifecycle.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable, in‑depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile).
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
• Practical cloud‑native experience.
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture.
• Understanding of the external threat landscape, threat actors, adversary tactics & techniques, and industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Experience with payments environments including key business processes and technology trends.
• CISSP, CASP+ or equivalent certification.
