Job summary

Akamai Intelligence LLC is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst / Information Security Manager to lead security planning, testing, and policy development for a federal client. The role is on-site in Germantown, MD and requires the ability to obtain a DOE “Q” or equivalent Top Secret clearance.

You will supervise a security team, develop and test safeguards, and ensure compliance with NIST standards and federal requirements while coordinating incident response and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT with cybersecurity emphasis from an accredited institution.
• GIAC GISP or ISC2 CISSP, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience planning, coordinating, and implementing information security measures.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a cybersecurity/IT security role.
• Must currently hold, or be able to obtain, a DOE Q clearance or Top Secret clearance prior to start.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Germantown, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect information systems and data.
• Supervise and provide direction to cybersecurity/IT security staff.
• Develop, monitor, and test cybersecurity plans and controls using government-approved tools and methods.
• Document test results, develop corrective actions, and prepare risk statements.
• Maintain knowledge of NIST SPs and apply them to SA&A activities (NIST 800-37, 800-53, CNSSI).
• Develop and revise organizational security policies and baseline documentation.
• Lead incident response, vulnerability management, and POA&M tracking.
• Support Zero Trust, cloud security assessments, and CDM/Continuous Monitoring.
