Job summary

Peraton seeks a Journeyman Cyber Security Analyst to support USSOCOM SITEC 3 EOM at Fort Bragg, NC. The role involves defending global operations, mentoring teammates, and strengthening SOC capabilities across NetOps and infrastructure.

You will analyze threats with SIEM/IDS, lead incident response, and deliver actionable recommendations. A DoD TS/SCI and relevant CSSP credentials are required, with a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• DoD TS w/ SCI clearance required.
• Relevant certifications listed: CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CHFI, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER, Pentest+.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze sophisticated threats using SIEM, IDS, and other tools.
• Correlate data from multiple sources to uncover APTs and complex attack patterns.
• Refine detection rules and alerts to enhance threat identification.
• Lead high-priority security incidents with containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Perform root-cause analysis and deliver actionable mitigations.
• Create detailed post-incident reports for strategic planning.
• Lead audits/assessments and drive SOC process improvements.
• Secure NetOps and infrastructure against evolving threats.
• Mentor junior analysts and foster technical growth.
• Collaborate with SOC, IT, and stakeholders for coordinated responses.
• Stay informed on emerging threats and technologies.
