Job summary

STRODE STATION ELEMENTARY in Winchester, Kentucky seeks a Lead Custodian to oversee custodial staff and maintain a clean, secure school environment. The role reports to the Principal/Administrative Director of Operations, Transportation and School Safety and involves coordinating daily tasks, ordering supplies, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

The position requires the ability to perform heavy physical labor, operate cleaning equipment and conduct minor repairs.

Qualifications

• Supervise two or more custodians and assign daily tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of custodial procedures and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate basic maintenance and cleaning skills as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise two or more custodians in their building.
• Plan project work with administration and order supplies.
• Clean classrooms, restrooms, gym, cafeterias and offices.
• Ensure security and report hazards or needed repairs.
• Operate cleaning equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with major summer cleaning projects and event setup.
