Job summary

Nebo School District in Utah is seeking a Head Adult Sweeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility for students, staff, and the public. You will arrange furniture, secure facilities, and provide support for meetings, classroom activities and events, reporting to the Head Custodian.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background clearance, and the ability to perform various cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Skills: adhering to safety practices; operating equipment used in custodial work.
• Knowledge: basic math, read procedures, write routine documents, follow multi-step instructions.
• Ability: schedule activities, work with data, meet deadlines, attend regularly.

Responsibilities

• Arranges furniture and equipment for meetings, classes and events.
• Secures facilities and grounds to minimize damage and liability.
• Attends in-service training for new procedures.
• Cleans assigned facilities to maintain sanitary and safe environments.
• Performs custodial functions to maintain safe, attractive environments.
• Removes snow to ensure safe parking and sidewalks.
• Reports incidents of vandalism or damage for corrective action.
• Secures facilities (locks doors, turn off lights) to minimize risk.
• Supervises adult and student sweepers to maximize efficiency.
• Performs other duties as needed to ensure efficient operations.
