Job summary

Cresco Labs in Illinois is seeking a cultivation team lead to manage staff, schedules, cultivation processes, and inventory for our Sunnyside dispensaries. You will set workflows, supervise gardeners and harvest technicians, and ensure compliance with state regulations while maintaining product quality.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, plant health expertise, and meticulous documentation, with a Monday–Friday schedule and pay range $20 per hour in USD.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience training, leading and/or mentoring junior staff or new hires preferred.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing a large-scale agriculture facility preferred.
• Two years’ experience within a production facility or equivalent preferred.
• Effective time-management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Advanced knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations.
• Computer literacy in word processing, POS systems, Windows-based software, and database management.
• Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law.
• Critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage cultivation staff, schedules, cultivation processes, and inventory.
• Serve as a role-model and resource for cultivation staff regarding products, policies, and regulations.
• Respond to gardener questions, concerns, or suggestions and take action to resolve conflicts.
• Delegate tasks to gardeners and harvest technicians to maintain a compliant cultivation facility.
• Coordinate with the Garden Manager to ensure accurate information communicated to cultivation staff.
• Oversee all cultivation tasks and processes and ensure proper documentation per Cresco Labs standards.
• Measure and mix nutrient and plant applications and apply according to policy.
• Maintain plant health through pruning, topping, trimming, and health analyses.
• Maintain rotation of strains to ensure variety and quantity.
• Maintain accurate records of cultivation activities including inventory, crop applications, materials receipt and returns.

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

CORE JOB DUTIES

Agent Support and Management:

• Responsible for managing cultivation staff, schedules, cultivation processes, and inventory.
• Serves as a role-model and resource forcultivationstaff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations.
• Responds to all gardener questions, concerns, or suggestions andtakes actionwhen necessary to resolve conflicts.
• Responsible for delegating tasks to gardeners and harvest techniciansin order tomaintaina compliant and clean cultivation facility.
• Coordinates with the Garden Manager to ensureaccurateinformation is communicated to the cultivation staff.

Cultivation Operation Management:

• Oversees all cultivation tasks and processes, ensures proper documentation of all applicable activitiesin accordance withthe State and standards set by Cresco Labs.
• Responsible for measuring and mixing nutrient and plant applications and applying these mixtures according to Cresco Labs policy.
• Ensure plant health by pruning, toping, trimming, analyzing plant health according to Cresco Labs policy, as well as any other tasksrequired.
• Maintain rotation of strains through garden to ensure variety and quantity for cultivation facility.

Reports and Documentation:

• Maintainaccuraterecords of all cultivation activities including inventory records, crop application records, materials receipt, returns, etc.in accordance withthe State and standards set by Cresco Labs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Demonstrated experience training, leading and/or mentoring junior staff or new hires preferred.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing a large-scale agriculture facility preferred.
• Two years’ experience within a production facility,regulated field highly preferred.Or,any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearlydemonstratesthe ability to perform the above-described duties.
