Job summary

Office of Public Instruction in Helena, MT seeks a Family & Consumer Sciences Education Specialist to develop and manage CTE programs funded with state and federal dollars. You will meet federal and state requirements, provide educational services statewide, and design program guidelines for curriculum, assessments, and accreditation.

This role emphasizes collaboration, training, and technical assistance to ensure high-quality education for 149,000+ students and 3,000+ educators across Montana.

Qualifications

• Three years of Family and Consumer Sciences Education Teaching or related experiences.
• Three years of experience working with or managing career and technical student organizations.
• Proficient use and understanding of Excel, Adobe, Google Suite, and Web Design.
• Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• If no applicants meet these minimum qualifications, a training assignment may be offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage CTE programs funded with state and federal dollars.
• Meet objectives mandated by federal and state laws.
• Provide educational services to citizens of the state through the educational community and schools.
• Design and manage program guidelines and standards to ensure effective curriculum, teaching and learning methodologies, educational assessments, teacher certification and school accreditation, technical assistance, and overall quality education statewide.
• Provide technical assistance and support quality education statewide.
