Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield seeks an experienced CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, produce diagnostic cross‑sectional images, and serve as a clinical leader for the radiology team in a busy hospital setting.

This role requires five years’ technical experience and two years’ leadership, ARRT CT certification, CA licensure, and BLS; you will plan daily patient workloads, mentor staff, and support scheduling and staffing decisions. The shift is day-time with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Five years' technical experience required.
• Two years' leadership experience preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT CT certification required; CA licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license required in CA if fluoroscopy is performed.
• Venipuncture certification required in CA if administering contrast.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for CT procedure and positions them to capture requested images.
• Plans daily patient workload and guides a team to meet performance requirements.
• Assists manager with hiring, evaluation and promotion decisions.
• Ensures adequate staffing to cover vacations and sick days.
• Acts as technical lead, mentors staff, and coordinates work assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
