Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union seeks a Lead Cryptographic Engineer to own the design, operation, and improvement of the organization’s cryptographic infrastructure, including PKI, HSMs, and certificate lifecycle management.

You will drive automation, advise on PQC adoption, and collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to maintain compliance and security posture across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in information security focusing on PKI and cryptographic systems.
• Production PKI ownership including CA hierarchy design and HSM operations.
• Automation tooling experience with Python/Go and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate key management across cloud KMS and on-prem HSMs.
• Own enterprise PKI end-to-end including root, CA hierarchy, and runbooks.
• Lead certificate lifecycle automation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
