Job summary

Core Government Services is seeking a licensed Lead Critical Infrastructure Electrician to maintain power distribution systems at the VA Capital Region Readiness Center (CRRC) in Martinsburg, WV. This on-site role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and repairs on critical electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include inspecting and servicing high-reliability distribution equipment, coordinating with OEM specialists, and ensuring NFPA 70E and OSHA 10 safety

Qualifications

• Active state journeyman or master electrician license.
• Minimum five years journeyman-level experience maintaining electrical power distribution systems.
• NFPA 70E training and OSHA 10-Hour Certification.
• Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting on complex electrical power and control circuits.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in elevated areas and wear arc-flash PPE.
• Pass a federal background check and obtain VA PIV badge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and modify high-reliability electrical distribution equipment.
• Maintain Square D switchgear, breakers, PDUs, ATS, UPS, TVSS.
• Lead energized work procedures, LOTO evolutions, and safety compliance.
• Perform infrared inspections, torque checks, and breaker testing per ANSI/NETA MTS.
• Coordinate with generator technicians on MTU/John Deere sets up to 2250 kW.
• Interpret electrical blueprints, single-line diagrams, and manuals.
• Document maintenance actions and test results in CMMS.
• Adhere to OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S and NFPA 70E safety standards.
