Job summary

Adfinitas Health is seeking a BC/BE Intensivist to join the Critical Care team at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. This full-time position offers a daytime flexible block schedule and the opportunity to manage critical care patients within a busy ICU, coordinating care plans and leading the team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires leadership skills and experience working with advanced practice providers, ACLS leadership, and participation in CQI

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Critical Care Medicine
• Quality-focused team player

• Effective oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage Critical Care patients in a busy ICU.
• Create, direct, coordinate, and supervise the patient care plans daily.
• Conduct diagnostic tests, analyze results and prescribe indicated treatments and therapies.
• Refer patients to medical specialists, social services or other professionals as appropriate.
• Work as part of an integrated team with care management, nursing, pharmacy, etc.
• Lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) codes and Rapid Response Team evaluations.
• Attend committee, CQI and management meetings, as appropriate.
• Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed.
• Establish and maintain records, reports and statistical data.
