Job summary

Mission Pet Health seeks a Lead Credentialed Veterinary Technician at Roscommon Veterinary Clinic in Michigan. You will provide skilled medical care under a veterinarian, supervise technical staff, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and excellence.

You lead a team, mentor colleagues, and help ensure efficient hospital operations while maintaining high standards of patient care and compassionate client communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Current Credentialed Veterinary Technician license in good standing in the applicable state.
• A minimum of three years of experience as a licensed technician, with leadership or mentorship experience preferred.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, surgical assisting, and radiology.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Provide high-quality care under DVM supervision and mentor the technical team.
• Team Mentorship: Act as shift lead, coach, and onboarding support for technicians and assistants.
• Operational Partnership: Collaborate with hospital leadership to coordinate workflows and protocols.
• Client Education: Clearly communicate treatment plans and review medical records with pet owners.
• Inventory & Equipment Care: Oversee inventory of medical supplies and pharmacy items; ensure equipment maintenance.
• Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records using proper terminology and formatting.
