Amentum is seeking a Lead Crane Technician to join our 1st shift maintenance team in Davenport, IA. You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance on overhead cranes, read schematics, and ensure safety through LOTO procedures, while guiding the team and handling work orders.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on crane experience, and ability to work from heights. OT and weekend work may apply; compensation reflects hourly role.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience maintaining overhead cranes, jib hoists, conveyors, or related equipment in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work in aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
• Experience with leading maintenance teams and directing daily workflow.

Amentum is seeking a Lead Crane Technician to join our 1st shift industrial maintenance team in Davenport, IA.

Typical hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. may vary based on customer demand.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing electrical/mechanical preventive maintenance, inspection, and repairs of overhead cranes.

The Lead technician is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment in a manufacturing environment as well as providing leadership to the maintenance staff and directing the daily workflowof the team. Ensures safe work practices are followed and monitors teams PM activities for on time completion. Provides instruction and assistance to other technicians as needed. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the strong organizational time management skills needed to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Operates aerial and platform lifts.
• Reads and understands schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
• Demonstrates solid understanding of Lock Out Tag Out practices and procedures.
• Operates a PC with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.
• Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
• Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
• Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
• Maintains a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.

Minimum Requirements:

• Five years of experience maintaining overhead cranes, jib hoist, conveyors, or related equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree or technical certification in industrial mechanical, HVAC, or related Facility Maintenance discipline.
• Experience with building mechanical equipment operation, diagnostics and repairs.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on facility related equipment.
• Experience maintaining basic plumbing needs.
• Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Experience working in a CMMS environment.

Other Attributes:

• Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.

Compensation Details:

$38 - $40
