Job summary

Ace-Handyman-Service is hiring a Lead Craftsman with expertise across carpentry, tiling, painting, drywalling, plumbing and electrical work to lead on-site projects. You should be comfortable acting as a field project manager, performing quality control and mentoring other craftsmen.

We offer a W2 position with starting rates of $25 - $35 per hour, year-round work, vacation, healthcare benefits, advancement opportunities and regular pay reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as handyman, carpenter, or remodeler.
• Proficiency in Carpentry, Tiling, Painting, Drywalling, Plumbing and Electrical.
• Experience with framing, decking, siding and door/window installation.
• Comfortable with a pre-employment background check and field project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site projects across multiple trades, ensuring quality control.
• Mentor other craftsmen and manage schedules and deliverables.

Requirements

We are looking for a Lead Carpenter with a strong work ethic, a professional appearance and demeanor, and a good overall knowledge of all trades—from Carpentry, Tiling, Painting, and Drywalling to light Plumbing and Electrical.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• 5+ years of previous experience as a handyman, carpenter, or professional remodeler
• Proficiency with a wide range of tasks including Carpentry, Tiling, Painting, Drywalling, Light Plumbing and Electrical, Framing, Decking, Siding, Door & Window installation
• Comfortable with a pre-employment background check
• Comfortable being a field project manager, including quality control and mentorship of other Craftsmen
• Own work truck or van for the position
• Own basic hand and power tools needed for the position
