Qualifications

• Knowledge of cost-estimating principles in industrial environments
• Ability to read technical specs, engineering drawings, BOMs
• Proficiency in Excel; estimating systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Review specs, drawings and requirements to determine project scope and estimating needs
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontract cost estimates
• Coordinate with Engineering, Proposal Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales to validate assumptions
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate supplier pricing
• Analyze historical cost data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
• Maintain estimating data and tools to support accuracy and consistency
• Support proposal development with timely cost information and revisions
