Job summary

To be considered, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. Examples include roles as police officer, detention officer, or residential facility counselor, with demonstrated ability to act decisively in emergencies and coordinate security and inmate programs.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty to the next lower grade level.
• Experience such as police officer, detention officer, or residential facility mental health counselor.
• Ability to make sound decisions in emergencies with potential severe consequences.
• Experience inspecting facilities, observing security, morale and program coordination.
• Experience leading the Correctional Services department in institutional security and inmate conduct.
