Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring a Lead Cook at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. This full-time position requires prior supervisory and culinary experience and offers pay between $24.13 and $29.08 per hour with competitive benefits.

• Store, label and date food items according to policy; maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated/frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete required documentation.
• Assist in cross training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.
