Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in conveyor belting, rubber repair, or heavy industrial maintenance.
• Supervisory or lead-hand experience on industrial projects.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead small crews during conveyor belt installation and repairs.
• Troubleshoot advanced system failures and recommend actions.
• Conduct inspections and maintain QA/QC documentation.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of vulcanized and mechanical belt splicing methods

Advanced technical knowledge of vulcanizing, lagging, and rubber lining

Understanding of conveyor system components

Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for conveyor failures

Effective crew leadership skills

Communication skills to coach technicians

Ability to perform belt tracking and tensioning

Ability to train and mentor junior technicians

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
