Job summary

Fluidstack is building a high-impact Controls team to lead the design and deployment of data-center controls and automation. You will own template designs, SOOs, BOMs, and the overall technical direction across the fleet.

You’ll drive cross-discipline decisions in mechanical, electrical, commissioning, and construction, and grow the team by hiring skilled controls engineers. This role emphasizes speed, rigor, and scalable quality.

Qualifications

• Led a controls or design engineering team, owning technical output and people.
• Set controls design standards, reference architectures, or specifications used across multiple projects.
• Authored or owned integrated automation specifications and ensured field viability.
• Written sequences of operations and validated designs are buildable in practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the controls design development team, owning templates, SOOs, BOMs, and specifications.
• Set technical direction for controls design and reference architectures the fleet uses.
• Drive design decisions across mechanical, electrical, commissioning, and construction to avoid schedule delays.
• Grow the team by hiring controls engineers and raising design quality.
• Ensure the quality and repeatability of every design package for faster scale.
