Job summary

Harmony Design Group in New Jersey seeks a seasoned Controller to lead our finance team and own GAAP reporting, close processes, and FP&A. You will partner with operations and leadership to drive profitability and scalable controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in a Controller role.
• Experience with close and compliance, budgeting/forecasting, internal controls, and KPIs.
• CPA/CMA preferred for certification.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and month-/quarter-/year-end closes with entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reporting with variance analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and strategic financial planning.
• Analyze gross margins, COGS, pricing, and profitability to guide decisions.
• Partner with operations and leadership to drive cost efficiency and pricing strategy.
• Oversee AP, AR, billing, collections, vendor management, inventory costing, and insurance.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, banking relations, and financing.
• Implement strong accounting policies, controls, and internal controls compliance.
• Coordinate audits and tax filings; liaise with external firms and advisors.
• Support expansion, capex, and ERP implementations; drive process improvements.
