Job summary

Logos Space in United States is building a next-generation space-based network, seeking a Lead, Control Plane Software to drive architecture and delivery across SDN, Ground Segment, satellites and terminals. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on both cloud/on-premises solutions, embedded systems, and network stacks.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, leading control plane software development, with the scope and breadth of this role.
• Strong technical expertise in programming languages such as Go, Rust, C, C++ or Python.
• Debugging across software, network behavior, telemetry and infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and make pragmatic architecture decisions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and development of entire control plane software for Logos network.
• Lead design and development of services for SDN, Ground Segment, NetOps, and SATOps functionality.
• Build services and scalable APIs for provisioning, configuration, automation, telemetry integration, and operational workflows.
• Design for dynamic network conditions, including topology changes, link variability, congestion, degradation and failures.
• Ensure seamless integration of control plane software with on-premises and cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS).
• Participate directly in implementation, code reviews, design reviews, debugging and system integration.
• Work closely with data plane, platform and embedded systems teams to integrate the control plane into the broader network architecture.
• Ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of the control plane software.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the software engineers.
• Translate product level goals into executable architecture, milestones and engineering deliverables.
• Work with product management to prioritize features and requirements.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure software quality and reliability.
