Job summary

Devon seeks a Lead Contract Compliance Facilitator/Auditor to plan and execute complex audits, focusing on contract compliance for vendors and joint ventures within the oil and gas sector. You will assess risk, coordinate internal and external audit activities, and report findings to leadership.

The role requires 7+ years of audit experience, strong knowledge of oil and gas operations, and proven ability to recover overbilled amounts through negotiation. Travel to vendor sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive audit experience, including contract compliance, vendor, or joint venture audits.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas operations, including drilling, completions, production, and field services.
• Experience negotiating audit findings and recovering overbilled amounts from vendors.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools to extract and analyze transactional data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and executes risk-based contract compliance audits, including objectives, timelines, and resource needs.
• Perform audits in-house and oversee work outsourced to third-party audit firms, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Serve as primary point of contact throughout the audit lifecycle, delivering timely status updates, findings, and recommendations.
• Lead discussions and negotiations with vendors to resolve discrepancies and recover overbilled amounts.
