Job description

Lead Content Producer, Original Series, Creative Content

Job ID: 10479700 | Amazon.com Services LLC

Amazon MGM Studios is looking for a creative, driven Lead Content Producer (LCP) to join our Creative Content team in support of Original Series. In this role, you'll develop compelling audiovisual marketing materials for our original series titles and multi‑title initiatives, contributing to campaigns that range from traditional broadcast advertising to innovative social media content.

The Lead Content Producer owns the end‑to‑end creative capture process—from planning and budgeting through execution and final delivery. This includes overseeing on‑set BTS (Behind the Scenes) and EPK (on‑camera interviews) shoots, standalone social content, events, and marketing AV productions. You'll be responsible for delivering high‑quality creative content on time and on budget, while maximizing both creative impact and operational efficiency. The LCP also manages talent approvals and curates and delivers final assets to stakeholders.

The LCP creates premium marketing materials including making‑of documentaries, marketing featurettes, sizzle reels, and platform‑specific social content. You'll collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and external agency partners throughout the campaign lifecycle to deliver high‑level creative AV.

The LCP brings a passion for narrative storytelling with deep fluency in film production and post‑production workflows, a strong understanding of creative content within a global marketing campaign, and experience with SAG‑AFTRA, WGA, and DGA rules. They thrive when multitasking, improvising, and navigating evolving responsibilities across multiple simultaneous projects.

This role is based in Culver City, CA. Travel will be required.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • During pre‑production, gather scripts, schedules, creative and relevant information for efficient content capture (BTS capture).
  • Partner with internal divisions and collaborate with stakeholders to collect production requests.
  • Produce all video shoots—including hiring and recommending the appropriate director, director of photography, crew, and/or production company.
  • Coordinate the capture of BTS content on set and conduct on‑camera interviews of talent.
  • Write talent interview questions, exhibiting a deep grasp of the movie’s content.
  • Understand production logistics and pacing to align marketing crew within overall movie production.
  • Pick up interviews after the wrap of production.
  • Produce large‑scale Content Days for marketing during film release anticipation, including social assets.
  • Oversee all talent approvals for content.
  • Work with video agencies to trim film clips, pull b‑roll and soundbites from on‑set capture for partner delivery.
  • Ideate, pitch and produce high‑level creative content in the form of long or short‑form pieces such as making‑of docs, featurettes, sizzle reels and social content.
  • Understand legalities of film and BTS use—including paid ads and advertising contracts.
  • Proactively problem‑solve, communicate with senior management, and seek clarification when ambiguous.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create policies, procedures, and best practices impacting the broader department.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience leading creative development from concept to delivery.
  • 8+ years of experience in content capture and post‑production with a demonstrated track record of driving compelling creative strategy and execution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency with AI creative and production tools and experience integrating AI technologies into creative workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple fast‑paced projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and shifting timelines while maintaining a high standard of output.
  • Experience presenting creative concepts and campaign strategies to senior executives, articulating vision, rationale, and production approach clearly.
