Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Lead Content Distribution Engineer to own caching, edge networking, and CDN operations within the Disney Distribution Mesh. This remote role supports global media delivery and requires deep hands-on expertise in CDN configurations, OpenCache, and performance tuning.
You will configure CDN setups, manage OpenCache with ISPs worldwide, review metrics, guide tooling for third-party CDNs, and provide senior on-call support.

Product Engineering is a unified team responsible for the engineering of Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms. This includes product engineering, media engineering, quality assurance, engineering behind personalization, commerce, lifecycle, and identity.
For the role of Lead Content Distribution Engineer, Media Processing and Distribution is looking for a candidate specializing in caching technology, distributed networking, and operational experience in CDN edge services. This role will join the Product Engineering organization as part of the Media Distribution Technology team which develops and maintains CDN configurations for all CDNs in the Disney Distribution Mesh.

The hiring range for this remote position is $135,400 - $181,600 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
