Job summary

Turner Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage and supervise engineering and administrative policies at the project level in Memphis, TN.

This role coordinates with field operations to ensure accurate information transfer and adherence to schedules, budgets and quality standards. The position reports to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager and requires a Bachelor's degree with eight years of related experience, strong communication skills and a solid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus eight years' related experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
• Understanding of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing and engineering principles.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with project management software and MS Office.
• Ability to implement BIM and Lean approaches to benefit the project.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications, and understand contracts and subcontract documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise project-level engineering policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with field operations to ensure information transfer and execution.
• Lead design professionals, consultants, owners and subcontractors in information flow and approvals.
• Support GMP/preconstruction efforts and budget development.
• Perform contract document reviews for constructability and QA/QC.
• Prepare procurement schedules and trade scope documents for bids.
• Manage subcontract change orders and close-out procedures.
• Maintain project status reports and financial reporting accuracy.
