Job summary

GFT is seeking a Project Manager to join our Construction Management and Inspection team in New Jersey. You will lead highway and infrastructure projects, overseeing all phases from notice to proceed through closeout.

The role requires coordinating with NJDOT, NJTA, NJ TRANSIT, and other agencies to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will mentor staff, drive new business pursuits, and manage budgets and schedules across multi-disciplined projects, with a focus on delivering

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects for public agencies is expected.
Ability to manage teams, schedules, budgets, and client communications.
Familiarity with NJ construction and inspection standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage highway and infrastructure construction projects across New Jersey.
Oversee contract administration, budget, schedule, and closeout from notice to proceed.
Coordinate with NJ agencies to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
Drive new business pursuits and act as Capture Manager for proposals when needed.
Build and manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
Supervise construction management and inspection staff and mentor team members.
Monitor project performance and report to senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and QA/QC standards.
Lead teaming efforts and manage subconsultants.
Represent the firm in meetings and progress reviews.
