Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Construction Cost Estimator to develop conceptual and detailed estimates for new stores, remodels, acquisitions, and investment properties to guide capital funding decisions.

The role partners with Real Estate, Design, and Operations to align costs with scope, schedules, and prototypes, while monitoring labor and material cost trends. Hybrid work with Salisbury, NC as a core location.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management and at least 5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Commercial Construction Estimating.
• Experience in Construction Project Management and scheduling.
• Seasoned knowledge of design and construction methods, including alternative solutions and cost factors.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/Construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual estimates for new stores, remodels, and takeover projects including site, building, décor, and equipment costs for feasibility analyses.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for existing and new supermarket facilities based on CAD drawings.
• Develop estimates for prototype formats to support financial and functional analyses.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, and contractors to optimize total project costs.
• Conduct site visits with recommendations for cost budgeting and scope development.
• Provide technical construction support to Real Estate in developing conceptual budgets for new stores, takeovers and investment properties.
