Job summary

Pivotal is seeking a Manager of Configuration Management in Palo Alto to lead the CM function for aircraft hardware and software, overseeing CM plans, governance, and regulatory compliance. You will guide a team of CM specialists and engineers, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer support to ensure traceability and audit readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
10+ years in configuration management, change control, or PLM administration in regulated industries; 3+ years leading people or teams.
Hands-on experience running Change Control Board meetings and owning end-to-end change management.
Deep experience with PLM and ERP systems (3DEXPERIENCE ENOVIA and Epicor) and CAD assemblies.
Strong understanding of multi-level configured BOMs, effectivity, genealogy, and serial/lot traceability.
Working knowledge of EIA-649C, AS9100D, ISO 9001, or similar standards.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders; excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and develop CM team, including hiring, prioritizing, coaching, and performance management.
Own CM Plan and policies; align with EIA-649C, AS9100D, ISO 9001.
Serve as key Change Control Board stakeholder; define classification and escalation criteria; ensure timely review and execution of ECRs/ECOs/CAs.
Facilitate Change Control Board meetings as needed.
Define and control product configuration baselines for aircraft, subsystems, and software releases.
Own CM governance in 3DEXPERIENCE ENOVIA and Epicor ERP; ensure BOM data integrity.
Establish effectivity, variant management, and traceability across configurations.
Run configuration status accounting; report metrics to leadership.
Lead configuration audits and support regulatory audits; drive corrective actions.
Extend CM to software/firmware releases with software engineering.
