Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking an experienced field supervisor to lead concrete crews on commercial building projects in the Cincinnati area. The role focuses on coordinating tasks, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety and quality in all on-site activities.

You will oversee layout, formwork avoidance, pump/placing operations, and crane signals while maintaining schedules and collaborating with subcontractors. A strong communicator with 10+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• OSHA 30 Hour Preferred
• Experience leading a crew of 10-15
• Experience running, riding or walking behind trail machines
• ACI Certified
• Leadership skills
• Proven communicator, scheduler, proactive planner
• Candidates must have transportation
• Be willing to work within a 50 mile radius
• Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Organize, sequence and perform assigned tasks within schedule
• Building Layout & Elevations
• Read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills and perform layout
• Installation of doors; drill and set door hardware
• Form and place concrete footings, piers, walls and columns
• Pump, place and finish techniques
• Placement of concrete, slab on grade and elevated decks
• Crane signals and rigging
