Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a Cement Mason/Concrete Finisher – Lead to place, finish, repair, and cure concrete surfaces for bridges, roads, sidewalks, and curbs, ensuring quality, durability, and safety. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of concrete finishing experience, a valid driver’s license, and proven ability to lead a crew and coordinate with a team.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of concrete finisher or similar construction experience.
• Valid and current driver's license.
• Experience leading a team/crew is preferred.
• Experience placing and finishing bridge decks with Bidwell roller pavers and work bridges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide daily, clear instructions and updates to team members/crew.
• Set forms, screeds and ensure correct alignment, elevation, and grade.
• Mix, pour, spread, level, and smooth concrete using hand tools and power tools.
• Finish concrete surfaces using trowels, floats, screeds, and edgers.
• Apply surface treatments, sealers, and curing compounds.
• Cut expansion joints using hand tools or power saws.
• Monitor curing process to ensure proper strength and durability.
• Read and interpret repair procedures and specifications as it relates to concrete placing and repair.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
