Job summary

Buzz is transforming analytics and maintenance for power grid infrastructure with AI. We seek a Machine Learning Engineer to advance computer vision initiatives, bridging research and production to deploy foundational models for grid analysis.

You'll work with a team of ML engineers, driving your own projects with autonomy while collaborating across data and software to deliver scalable CV solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of industry experience in computer vision and machine learning.
• Deep expertise in modern CV and deep neural networks (object detection, segmentation, vision transformers, LLMs).
• Proven track record of deploying ML models in production.
• Experience selecting and adapting architectures for real-world use cases.
• Ability to read papers and implement ideas; strong debugging and error analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end computer vision projects from framing to production deployment.
• Deliver client projects translating data into CV solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers to hit milestones and maintain code quality.
• Stay current with ML/CV research and apply innovative methods.
• Design experiments with systematic hyperparameter tuning and baselines.
• Develop production-grade ML libraries and data pipelines.
• Own experiment tracking and model versioning; build robust model serving.
• Communicate research findings and technical decisions to stakeholders.
