Job summary

Materials Sciences LLC in Greenville, SC seeks a US citizen to become the lead Composites Paint & Finish Technician. This role involves working in a dedicated production paint booth and on the composites manufacturing floor, with emphasis on high-performance finishes and precision to meet schedule and budget.

You willreport to a Composites Supervisor, with training available for Lamination Technician skills and a focus on safety, quality, and 5S practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass a respiratory physical to certify for respirator PPE.
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, good eyesight.
• Willingness to learn Lamination Technician skills with training offered.
• Two-year technical certificate in aerospace or automotive paints is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Be a team member focused on operational excellence.
• Train and mentor others to share finishes expertise.
• Follow safety, quality, and 5S practices in handling paints and finishes.
• Apply paints and finishes to meet thickness and color specifications.
• Inspect finished surfaces for defects and correct as needed to specs.
• Document procedures and reports per MIPs and work orders.
• Support engineering with process improvements.
• Assist in packaging and crate design to protect finishes for delivery.
