Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Composites Manufacturing Engineer to own critical manufacturing processes and drive the scale-up of our jet production lineup. You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, and production while mentoring engineers and aligning with quality standards.

You will deploy capital equipment, define producibility, and implement manufacturing infrastructure to support a new production line.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, especially in rapid-growth environments.
• Experience with composite parts manufacturing and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and optimization of high-impact manufacturing processes across programs.
• Scale up flagship product line, balancing throughput, quality and cost.
• Lead the build-out of a new production line for a larger jet, including equipment and tooling.
• Develop CPD/Fibersim definitions and producibility assessments for composite parts.
• Source and integrate capital equipment, tooling, and automation systems.
