Job summary

Genelco by POWERX Edge is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to lead commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems for data-center projects across the United States. You will manage projects from planning to completion, perform testing and validation, and ensure compliance with safety and client specifications.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in a STEM field, 5+ years of hands-on commissioning experience, OSHA 30, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on commissioning experience in data centers, with lead experience.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification.
• Knowledge of NEC/ASHRAE/OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of electrical/mechanical equipment and systems, including power distribution, control, and backup power systems.
• Manage commissioning projects from planning to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Conduct site observations and prepare field reports on project status and compliance.
• Review test results and ensure procedures meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with client/site teams and sub-contractors to ensure successful execution.
