Job summary

AAR Corp in Arkansas is seeking a working level aviation maintenance supervisor responsible for ensuring maintenance per approved data and FAA guidance. You will coach technicians, process forms, and uphold quality control under supervision.

The role requires fluency in English, ability to read maintenance data and drawings, and strong written/spoken communication. Prior A&P certification is an asset, and you will oversee up to ten technicians in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret maintenance data; A&P certification is an asset.
• Ability to navigate and read drawings, mentor and coach junior technicians.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals contents and procedures.
• Notify the Director of Quality Assurance of suspected un-airworthy conditions found.
• Assure stock parts are properly identified.
• Ensure shelf-life materials are not expired and handle nonconforming items appropriately.
• Perform work in accordance with aircraft standards and applicable data.
• Oversee maintenance practices for up to 10 technicians.

Overview

The primary focus of this role is product integrity and regulatory compliance. This is a working level position that requires a high level of aviation maintenance expertise and is directly responsible for the maintenance, workmanship, and training under his/her direct oversight.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personnel under his/her direct oversight perform maintenance in accordance with approved data.
• Coach and mentor employees on proper maintenance techniques and procedures.
• Communicate the needs to supervisor/manager.
• Process maintenance forms and authorize by signature and date after work is completed.
• Be familiar with the contents and procedures described in the Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals.
• Notify the Director of Quality Assurance of suspected un-airworthy conditions found during the performance of his/her duties.
• Assure all parts received from stock are properly identified.
• In the case of shelf-life material, assure they are not expired. If material is outdated, assure outdated materials are presented to his/her production lead and/or inspector for identification as nonconforming and for proper disposition.
• Accomplish his/her work in accordance with proper aircraft standards, manufacturer’s approved data, FAA approved/accepted data, industry standards, or standard shop practices.
• Oversee maintenance practices for approximately 10 technicians max.
