Job summary

Osman Construction Corporation seeks a seasoned Commercial Project Superintendent to lead active projects across the Chicago metro area. You will direct field operations, manage schedules, coordinate subcontractors and uphold safety standards from site setup to project closeout.

Communication with owners, architects and teams is essential as you drive quality, timeline, and budget adherence on diverse facilities, retail, automotive or grocery projects within ~75 miles of Arlington Heights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction supervisory roles.
• Experience managing active commercial jobsites independently.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Ability to read drawings, specs and submittals.
• Knowledge of sequencing, site logistics, quality control and safety practices.
• Experience with project schedules and short-term look-aheads.
• Procore or similar construction-management software proficiency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written, electronic and verbal communication; willingness to travel within Chicago metro.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for assigned commercial projects.
• Develop and maintain daily schedules, look-aheads, and site-phasing plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, site personnel, deliveries and logistics.
• Organize jobsite setup, utilities, signage and field offices.
• Monitor work for compliance with drawings, specs, submittals and requirements.
• Coordinate inspections with municipal, owner and third parties.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and enforce safety requirements.
• Identify risks to schedule, quality and safety before milestones.
• Maintain daily reports, photos and field docs in Procore.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals and changes with Project Manager.
• Support work in active or occupied facilities when required.
• Maintain professional communication with owners, architects, subs and leadership.
• Complete punch-list and closeout responsibilities.
